I currently work at the hospital in the building next to the Rehab facility, in which I began my life all over again. I’ve worked here 25 years and I love the job and the staff that I work around. I’ve been married going on 18 years. My strong desire is to work with the Stroke Foundation. I want to let my words match my actions and we need funding for counseling. Because rehab from a Stroke, is a life long transition. It takes time and this is an event we’ll never forget.
I can forever improve both physically, mentally and emotionally. Therefore I want to be the voice for the ones that can’t speak, legs for the people that can’t walk and a Prayer Warrior.
I’m a 33 year survivor of a injury that has killed several people. I’ve learn to take what God has given me and utilize it to the fullest. God can work through anybody and who would’ve thought little me would be one of his chosen ones.
There is something else dear to my heart. I really want to bring attention to something that is taking the lives of both young and old athletes. Remember for young people, Sports is only a game!! Parent and coaches, please see to it that young athletes under your authority get rest, water and regular checkups.
